Yellowwood Learning Community invites the WNC Homeschool Community to join us on Wednesday, October 30th for a Trunk-O-Treat event!

We would like to give a huge shout out to Terra Nova for offering a space for this event. Please thank them by purchasing a lemonade for your kiddo or a beer for yourself!

The more trunks, the merrier!! Let's give our kiddos a fun Halloween and enjoy this evening as a homeschool community. If you have been displaced from your normal activities, due to Hurricane Helene, or are just looking to reconnect your child/teen with a homeschooling group, we are offering a temporary enrollment for the remainder of the semester. Hi all! We are working hard to get opened at Yellowwood Learning Community. To do this, we need operating bathrooms and hand-washing stations. If you know anything about how to get access to these, who has availability, grant/donation options, etc. that would be super helpful (way out of my wheelhouse). Port a Johns are an option, but not ideal unless there are little-kid friendly ones I'm unaware of. Thank you in advance!

Yellowwood Learning Community is the "parent" organization of WhimsicalWonderings. Over the course of the next several months, we will be merging the two pages into one. This will allow our entire community to come together on social media and see the community at large, instead of in smaller parts. It's almost that time of year! 😍

Misti is our most fantastic Whimsical teacher at Yellowwood. She is the most giving person, always thinking of others and doing for everyone. She also just recently rescued this sweet girl, a skittish pup, from a local rescue. They failed to provide accurate information on Cece’s history and now are refusing to correct the issue, instead wanting Misti to put the pup down. There were two failed spay attempts and the wrong tube was tied, resulting in a failed kidney and growing scar tissue that threatens other organs (and will get worse with time).

Misti works hard for our kids and community, but is being asked for $8000 to correct the failures of previous doctors. This is money she simply doesn’t have. Please see her story below.
