Day 3 of the 2026 Beef Tour has been so fun! Our two stops today were owned by Jarrod and Becca Creasy and they were wonderful hosts!

We started at their farm, Marbled Duck Ranch in Metter, GA. We learned about their Brangus cattle, Katahdin sheep, and working horses. And we may have made friends with their guardian dog puppies too.

Then we left there and drove to their processing facility Nine Twenty Company in Millen, GA. Our tour guide Taylor and manager of Nine Twenty, gave us a top notch educational tour, answered all of questions with ease, and let us pose with the meat for our group picture!

Best of all, she gave us a local lunch recommendation at a restaurant called Rounds. Delicious and served 30 people at once with ease!

Our bus driver Victor spotted a watermelon stand on the way out of town so we pulled the bus in and we’re well stocked for our trip back to NC this afternoon!

A wonderful trip and time spent together, please make plans to join us next year!

Day 2 of the 2026 Beef Tour is a wrap!

Today’s theme was heavy rain showers as soon as we got off the bus again and again, but thankful to see it!

We started the day with Dan Glenn at Deep Grass Graziers in Fitzgerald, GA. He specializes in grass fed / finished beef and had some great demonstrations of forages! He was kind enough to tote us in his covered (and clean!) cattle trailer so we could see as much of his farm as possible with the oncoming rain.

Our second stop today was at Roxanne Newton’s in Hahira, GA and we learned about her katahdin sheep operation. We admired her well maintained facilities that also kept us dry from more rain. A really cool example of a hair sheep operation!

Our 3rd stop today was at Franklin’s Farm in Statesboro, GA. They’re a produce stand with lots of U-Pick options including citrus! We bought some Georgia peaches to bring home and Tucker snuck an entire tree onto the bus.

A fun second day and we’re excited for tomorrow!

Day 1 of the 2026 Beef Tour was a lot of fun! We did a lot of traveling and fit in two stops. After lunch we stopped at Southern Belle Farms in McDonough, GA. Very cool U-Pick and Agritourism farm. Highly recommend the peach cobbler with peach ice cream 🍑

Our second stop was at Silicon Ranch to learn about sheep production with solar farm grazing. It was amazing to see over 400 sheep move from one paddock to another.

Thanks to both stops for having us yesterday and day 2 is starting!
