We "wrapped up" student taste testing just in time for summer ☀️Look for these items on our menus next school year:
Chicken bacon ranch wraps- 99% of PGHS students loved it
Pepper jack mac- 86% of ERHS students approved of the mac
Pepper jack melt- 96% of ERHS students said yes to the melt
We look forward to serving our students scratch made, local, fresh, and delicious meals for the 2026-2027 school year!

Preparing to serve protein packed egg and cheese croissants next school year. 90% of students at Grays Chapel approved of this new menu item!
Celebrating Hopewell’s Asher Hill and his art teacher Ms. Cori Cagle winning the farm-to-school art contest with his amazing picture of a crop-dusting plane that will be in the 26-27 Farm-to-School calendar!
And as always, serving fresh, local, and scratch made delicious meals to students- Brookwood BBQ from Siler City, NC, scratch made coleslaw, and fresh strawberries from Faison, NC!

NEW MENU ITEM!!! We are excited to serve “Arroz con Leche”! Made with NC rice grits from Tidewater Grain Company, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and butter 🧈🥛🥣 83% of students at UWR 6-12 voted “yes” for this new menu item ✅ Look for this sweet treat on our menus next week!!

The theme this year for National School Breakfast Week is The Quest for School Breakfast! At school, our kids are eating like kings and queens for breakfast! From fresh fruit to warm, hearty meals, breakfast time is fueling young minds and setting the tone for a successful day of learning.
When children have access to a healthy breakfast, they’re more focused, energized, and ready to shine in the classroom. We’re proud to make mornings brighter—one delicious bite at a time! ✨
