It’s our very first !
Now that we’ve met, let’s talk about how you meet the world. The handshake is often the very first physical connection you make in a greeting. It’s your “silent introduction” before you even say a word.
How do you make it perfect? Remember the “Goldilocks” Rule:
1. Not too light: The “Dead Fish” handshake can come across as a lack of confidence. 2. Not too tight: The “Bone Crusher” can be intimidating (and painful!). 3. Just right: A firm, brief squeeze with full “web-to-web” contact.
Susan’s Pro-Tip: Always maintain eye contact and give a sincere smile. It shows you are genuinely happy to be in their presence.
Who is someone you’ve met whose handshake left a great impression? Let’s chat in the comments!
