FOUNDER DIARIES 📓🍷
Confession: I used to pass the wine list like a hot potato. 🙋‍♀️

No excuse though. I’m from Chile, one of the Cabernet capitals of the world. I grew up biking past vineyards in Northern California. I lived in Germany, hello Riesling! I was embarrassed and my wine insecurity felt uncomfortable 😅

I’ve spent the past 5 years learning and chasing wine around the globe, and here are 3 things that I learned:

1. We learn wine best from a friend, and by tasting it. The best wine nights I ever had were with a friendly winemaker at the table who shared insights like it was no big deal.

2. No matter how much I pumped up Cornell University’s Wine Program to women who wanted to learn wine, most didn’t want more screen time in their life. If they had free time, they wanted to spend it nurturing real world relationships.

3. Making new “wine friends” in the wine world is amazing! It opens so many new doors to experiences, and added a whole new layer of wine girlies to my life.

So to help women get savvy with wine, I took these three things and built Savvy Llama’s wine confidence party kits, and a structured Wine Confidence Program 🦋.
