NJHSArnold Arnold school hopes to call upon students to appreciate and develop the gifts with which they have been blessed.

The NJHS is a co-curricular opportunity that recognizes middle school students who demonstrate outstanding performance in each of the following areas: scholarship, leadership, service and character. Given the types of personal and civic qualities endorsed by NJHS, this program provides the school an opportunity to recognize the academic, service and leadership characteristics of students and, more

importantly, engage participants in further leadership and service experiences aimed at nurturing and enhancing academic and social goals of the school.

It was a lot of fun at Arnold's Halloween parade today. Games, costume contests, and parade all went well. Thank you everyone who planned the events. We had fun leading the kids on the parade. Have a safe and creative Halloween week.

Just a reminder - several of you volunteered to help with the community Halloween parade on Friday. We can still use more help if some of your plans have changed. Just let Mrs. Moninger know if you can help. If possible, you need to be at the community center at 1. They think it will be over at 4:30 and then they need help with clean up. Another option to help is the set up on Thursday at 5:00, but I know there is also a game that evening and a lot of kids are planning on attending the game. Thanks for relaying the message for me.

NJHS members, Arnold cheerleaders, and Rotary Club members will help with the BBQ at the city park tonight that is sponsored by the Arnold Chamber. Stop by between 5:30 and 7:00 for the annual BBQ.

Making egghead planters during the first week summer reading. This week we got to hear from Oconto's "junk sculptor" Charles Horn and see some of his works. For the final week, we will try our own hand at "junk sculptures" while we watch the movies "Holes" (our first book club choice). Thank you Leighton Bubak, Logan Coleman, Tatum Cool, and Lydia Connell for helping with summer reading this year!
