The North Union FFA had one busy week at the Emmet County Fair, and we couldn’t be prouder of these members! They showed off their Supervised Agriculture Experiences to the best of their abilities.

On Thursday, July 23rd, Emma Preston competed in both the sheep and goat show. Hadley Moore showed in the dog show.

On Friday, July 24th, Emma Preston was in the poultry show. Later that day, Taylor Larsen and Carter Brown participated in beef showmanship. We also had Taylor Larsen and Emma Preston earn their way to compete in Supreme Showmanship.

Lastly, on Saturday, July 25, Kyla Irmiter and Carly Oleson, Taylor Larsen and Emma Preston, and Carter Brown were involved in the beef show.

Additionally, throughout most of these shows, you could have caught our president and the 2026 Emmet County Fair Queen, Taylor Larsen, passing our awards and ribbons.

Congratulations to all of these hardworking members, and we are looking forward to seeing other members show at the Kossuth County Fair soon!

Each year the Northwest district and Iowa FFA officers plan and facilitate Chapter Officer Leadership Training (C**T) conferences for officers to attend. This year, our group traveled to Dordt University to attend workshops focusing on advocating for the agriculture industry, connecting with stakeholders, recruiting for the local chapter, and working as a cohesive team. We also squeezed in a quick trip Culvers to end the day!
