What a beautiful morning spent with my lovely friend, Adeline Rogers!

I had the privilege of joining her for the ribbon cutting of Child Care Associates, the preschool affiliated with Tarrant County College in Fort Worth. Adeline serves on the board and was kind enough to include me in such a special morning.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to see their program, learn from their experience, and gather ideas and inspiration that I hope to bring back to Little Saints Preschool.

There is so much to learn when building something from the ground up, and I’m thankful for the people God places along the way to encourage, teach, and inspire me!

Today I had the privilege of attending a book study at my children’s school, Ovilla Christian School, on Saving Children in a World Gone Crazy by Jeff Keaton.

It left me thinking deeply about our children and the world they are growing up in.

Our children are often consumed by the messages, distractions, and values of the world around them. So how do we teach them to shine for Christ? How do we help them become a light in a world that can feel so very dark?

Even in preschool, some may think children are too young for these conversations—that they are too young to worry about the things of this world. But the truth is, teaching our children to live free from the worries and influence of this world begins at a very young age.

It begins with parents who lead by example. Parents who are intentional. Parents who are persistent. Parents who understand that what we model, prioritize, and pursue before our children often speaks louder than anything we could ever teach them with our words.

Are we willing to be the parents our children need us to be?

Can we walk by faith and not by sight?

Can we make the Lord the first priority in our homes, our decisions, our marriages, and our parenting?

Our children don’t need perfect parents. They need parents who are willing to faithfully point them toward Christ, over and over again.

The world will constantly compete for our children’s hearts. May we be just as intentional about leading their hearts toward Jesus.

May our children grow up knowing not only about Christ, but knowing Him, loving Him, trusting Him, and having the courage to shine His light wherever He leads them.

My entire life, I have found so much joy in playing and working with preschoolers. I’ve had the privilege of knowing and loving children with all kinds of personalities, some incredibly smart, some silly, some sweet, and others who are still learning how to navigate the world. Each one has taught me something, and it has been such a joy to grow alongside each unique personality.

I am often told that I have a gift for working with children, but the truth is, they are a gift to me.

The opportunity to build a school has been tedious, challenging, and incredibly labor-intensive. It is quite possibly one of the hardest things I have ever done. And yet, through it all, God has been in it. He has made His presence so evident, guiding me, opening doors, and keeping them open when I wasn’t sure how things would come together.

I look forward to planting little seeds in each child’s heart, seeds of faith, wonder, kindness, reverence, and love. What a joy it will be to teach them about the love of our Savior, Mother Mary, and all the saints who have gone before us.

This preschool brings together two of the greatest loves of my life: children and my relationship with God. What a beautiful gift it is to have the opportunity to bring those two loves together in one place.

I look forward to teaching these little ones not only how to learn and explore, but how to slow down, to be reverent, to recognize the beauty of God’s creation, and to know that they are deeply loved.

What a privilege. What a joy. What a blessing. ❤️

Little Saints Preschool had the joy of supporting the Mom Walk Collective today at Don Misenheimer Park!

We painted rocks, shared some smiles, and gifted our friends with flashlights for their walks. What a sweet morning connecting with our community!

Hopefully some of our friends will join us as we open. We'd love to have them!
