We're announcing the beginning of PSU's ICE Watch program!
As ICE presence ramps up nationwide, including DFW, we as community members must come together to keep each other safe. ICE Watch will be open to the public to contribute to. While we will concentrate patrols around campus, we will be accepting spottings from across the city of Arlington and its surrounding area.

How It Works:
Submit a photo, time, & location for the ICE officer(s) or vehicle(s) that you spotted to our Instagram or the form on the QR code above, and we'll post it on this account.
Though it's open to the public, we also want to make sure there's someone patrolling campus at all times. As such, we invite folks to note down their availability also through the QR code above so leadership can reach out and contact them when they're needed.

We will not be intimidated into hiding by ICE while they threaten our friends and families with not only deportation but brutality, and in the cases of their victims on the streets and in detention centers, ex*****on.

PSU condemns the US' terrorist bombing of Venezuela and the kidnapping of its president and his wife. We view the event as yet another example of the US unrightfully attempting to seize a country's resources under the guise of policing through regime change. We call for students and universities within our reach to end cooperation with any companies, institutions, or authorities carrying out these attacks on Venezuelan sovereignty, be they civilian, government, or military. Boycott oil and gas companies profiting from these attacks!

As of today, the Progressive Student Union is disaffiliated with National Students for a Democratic Society. SDS operates as a front group for FRSO, is complicit in the coverup of multiple assaults and prevents their members from making actual democratic decisions. Please read our statement!

PSU & SJP invite you to attend our rally this Wednesday!

🗓️ April 9th
⏰ 12:00 PM
📌 Outside the UC

ICE has no place on campus! Our school has not only stood idly by as ICE put our students in danger, but actively invited them to attend the Criminal Justice Fair on campus. We as students should not have to look over our shoulders in our places of study! We student organizers should not fear deportation for speaking out against injustice!

VIGIL FOR SAM NORDQUIST!

Earlier this month, we learned that Sam Nordquist, a Black Transgender man living in Minnesota, was tortured for over a month before being murdered in New York. This heinous crime is a result of constant attacks on Black and Trans people across the United States by far right pundits and anti-diversity politicians.

Join us this Friday as we mourn a young man so cruelly taken from us, and as we take up our own campaign to fight for the rights of transgender and nonbinary people living on our own campus!

Say his name!
