Join us in honoring America’s heroes at the Texas Veterans Day Parade, and cheer on the Big Sam Bell, proudly representing Sam Houston High School!

🎖️ Enjoy military flyovers, marching bands, and patriotic pride throughout the parade route — followed by a Drone Show over the lake near the National Medal of Honor Museum at 7:00 PM.
🍔 Food Trucks will be available north of the lake — a great spot to grab dinner before the show.
🎁 Bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots — Marines will collect donations along the parade route.

Let’s fill the Entertainment District with red, white, and blue spirit as Arlington comes together to honor our Veterans.

With the pause on SNAP benefits, Marquez Bakery Arlington is stepping up to make sure no child goes hungry. Starting October 30, families affected by SNAP changes can receive free meals for kids — no purchase necessary, dine in or take to go, no questions asked.

Food insecurity touches many of our students, families, and staff — and with the November 1 pause on SNAP benefits, the need for community support is greater than ever.

We’re sharing a helpful list of local food pantries and mobile food distributions compiled by a support specialist Rankin Elementary. The list highlights Arlington-area options such as Arlington Hearts & Hands, Inc., Shepherd's Pantry, Arlington Charities, and Tarrant Area Food Bank Mobile Pantries — all open to families in need.

The Sam Houston High School Mariachi, led by Diana Navarro Castañeda, and Ballet Folklórico, led by Jazmin Durán (also one of our SHHS Tex-Annes directors), kicked off tonight’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Levitt Pavilion Arlington with beautiful performances showcasing culture, tradition, and Texan pride. ❤️🤍💙

The celebration continues into the evening — what a great night to be a Texan!
