16 April 26
I wanted to share a couple exciting Hobby Lobby finds that were too good to pass up and not share with everyone.
First find was a sturdy transparent plastic zipper bag that is perfect for holding drill bags and tools. This bag can be found in the Wearable Arts section (by T-shirts) and was $4.49. I love mine and ended up getting a second one.
My second find was a 12-piece storage tray set by ArtDot that was $9.99 on sale with 40% off this week. What drew my attention to these trays (because I definitely did not need more trays 😳) was the fact that it has dividers that are specifically sized for a 3-dot multi-spacer. I don’t use a multi-spacer very often, but when I do, it’s normally no more than three drills. This tray was perfect! The box came with six large trays and six smaller. The large tray is perfect for canvases with huge amounts of background color. With the percentage off, it came to $5.99. What a steal!!
If anybody else has any great finds, please share. I can’t wait to see.
HAPPY DOTTING!

SUNDAY SHOWCASE
12 April 26
I thought it would be fun to share what you’ve been working on this week. It doesn’t have to be diamond painting. Just post a picture of something that you have enjoyed working on this week.
I’m sharing Henrietta, my new Porch Goose that my sister and niece gave me for my birthday. She’s just too cute and I’m already hooked on finding dresses and costumes for her. I need to figure out a way to DP stuff for her. Maybe some cute hats with matching scarves.
I can’t wait to see your pictures. Remember, it doesn’t have to be DP related. Post a pic of anything that you enjoyed doing this week that made you happy and put a smile on your face.

Birds of a Feather
• L…Lilac-Breasted Roller
Continuing with our Birds of a Feather series, the letter L is the Lilac Breasted Roller. The lilac-breasted roller is an African bird and is widely distributed in Southern and Eastern Africa. I love the colors of this bird. Has anyone seen one in their natural habitat!

FREEBIE FRIDAY
10 April 26
• Hummingbird in Purple Flowers
• Hummingbird in Blue Flowers
• Hummingbird in Pink Flowers
Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great Easter and that Spring has arrived where you live. I think it’s finally here and looking at the possibility of heavy rains this weekend. For me, that means stay home and dot!!
Today’s post brings you three small hummingbird canvases. All three pics come in three designs: 1) full coverage, 2) hummingbird and flowers on green Aida cloth background, and 3) hummingbird and flowers on light blue Aida cloth background.
I completed one with full coverage drills and found a 7x7” frame at Dollar Tree when looking for a gift bag. Sadly, I only found one frame. I’ll have to see if I can find a couple more if I decide to do more.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and, as always,
HAPPY DOTTING!

CHASING BUTTERFLIES
02 April 26
Chasing Butterflies was the theme for this month’s trade. However, I have decided to extend the date thru Spring. Plus, I’ve added a different twist. From now until June 20 (last day of Spring), you can create a 3x4” Butterfly card to trade with me.
I have 13 cards ready to mail out so far and more on the drawing board. Send me a picture of the card you have ready to send to me and tell me which of my cards you would like sent to you. You are always welcome to do more than one.
I’ve included pictures of the cards that I have completed so far. Each of my cards has a sheet magnet on the back of the card. Each butterfly has a magnet on it and can easily be detached from the card to be a separate magnet.
I am thinking that for Summer we can do Seashells and Flip Flops. Let me know what you would like to do or give me more suggestions. Towards the end of May I will send out some patterns and background images based on feedback.
As always, if you have questions or need additional information, please reach out to me.
Happy Spring and Happy Dotting!

I want to apologize for missing Freebie Friday last week and not coming back until today. Sadly, we lost our sweet Callie Jane and her passing left a huge void in our house. Callie was the matriarch of The Girls; she was their leader and their playmate. For me, she was my constant shadow, had her special spot in every room to keep an eye on me, and never hesitated letting me know when I wasn’t doing things to her satisfaction. She wasn’t one to bark a lot, but definitely a little talker. The silence throughout the house is almost deafening.
We miss you Sweet Girl!

A tad bit later than hoped, but in the comments are the rest of the Butterfly Notecards to complete the set. Also included is a sheet of small butterflies that compliment the series. They can be cut out and attached for some additional pop on the card.
I know that many kids are out this week as schools start Spring Breaks. For those of you with kids or grandkids on break, I hope your week is fun and exciting. My granddaughter was with me last week and we had a great time. Whether it’s Spring Break or not, I wish you all an amazing week.

Chasing Butterflies

As promised, in the comments you will find the butterfly patterns that have all the cut lines removed. This will make it easier for those of you that like to fussy-cut.

Chasing Butterflies

• Part 3…..Background 3x4” Cards
Here are the last of the backgrounds. Of course, you don’t have to use any of the ones sent and are welcome to attach your butterflies on scrapbook paper or designs of your own. Be as creative as you like.
I’ve pictured two more butterflies that have been completed and ready to fly away. Do you have a favorite so far?
Cut Lines or Fussy Cut…..that is the question. From paper dolls to scrapbooking, I have always loved to cut things out with scissors. It’s almost like my therapy. LOL! But many of you have commented recently that it’s hard to cut following the cut lines. Later this evening I will recreate the butterfly designs without cut lines so that they can easily be fussy cut.
Also, if you would like to have one of the butterfly designs printed on to one of the backgrounds, just let me know which background design you would like and which butterfly. I’ll be happy to make the design for you.
Happy Dotting!
