We had our first monthly dinner meeting at GlenEagle. Former exchange student Madyke from the Netherlands highlighted her bucket list during her year for our new exchange student Sophia from Germany. Members gave ideas, and there was some Apple Cup banter.

It was the “Magic of Rotary” for Sean from BC, and Jola from Washington State, who a week before took each other’s hands in marriage across the border. It was special seeing them with hands together in the shadow of the Peace Arch. Jola and Sean hosted a reception this weekend at Sean’s home in Surrey, and next weekend at Jola’s home in Mount Vernon (Big Lake), to continue the celebration of their marriage.
