Pollinators hard at work: every year we have a few milkw**d that plant themselves inside the vegetable garden. They don’t transplant well, so we just leave them until they’re in the way and enjoy the extra pollinator food.

Butterfly w**d and sun drops glowing in the pollinator garden. What’s growing in your yard right now?

Garden club harvested onions to donate to AFAC, and we picked our first beer of the season during last Saturday’s workday.

The weather forecast looks perfect, and the garden grew about 12” last week with all the rain. Can’t wait to get back out in the dirt with all our community volunteers from 10-noon Saturday morning.

Fava beans, tomato plants, and volunteers, oh my! Thank you to everyone who came out to work in the garden with us last week, especially our new volunteers who joined us via Saturdays in the Garden program. We hope to see you back in the garden in the future! (Not this Saturday, though, we are cancelling due to rain.)
