We’d love for any of the DFW metro churches to join us for a Back to School Night of Worship event Friday, August 12th. We will begin at 5 PM and end by 9 PM. The evening will include a game, pizza, and worship service (including a prayer walk and worship in the round). The cost will be $5 per participant to cover the cost of dinner. Included below is a graphic as well as a registration link. We will close registration on the 10th. The event will be hosted at Arlington First Church of the Nazarene. If you have follow-up questions feel free to reach out to Curtis Hann at 918-521-3147.

Hey! I've got a long-ish post here, but it's need-to-know info!
The last week of June we are teaming up with a youth group from OKC to serve our community with Mission Arlington.
We will serve in the mornings on different projects for Mission Arlington, then during the afternoons, we will lead one of their day camps, Rainbow Express, at a local apartment complex.
On a few of the evenings, we will have fun fellowship activities planned to do with the visiting youth group.
The good news is because it's local (and you'll sleep in your own bed every night) this is a very LOW-COST event!
We will charge $30 for the mission trip to cover the cost of lunches and water during the day. Some of the evening activities may come with additional costs (for example, if we do whirly ball that will be an extra $10-15). As we work with the other youth group, we will get those final details out ASAP.
Additionally, we would love the participation of any parents who are interested in joining us for the week!
Go ahead and sign up (students and adults alike) here! Sign-up will close on June 23rd. https://forms.gle/R5wj3NBF8yWePTbG8
We are SO EXCITED for this opportunity and for a week to be with you/your students!!

We are so excited about Summer Kickoff this Wednesday!
Note that we will start at 6:30 PM this week instead of 7:00 PM.
Also, all other Wednesday night activities this day have been canceled. The whole family is more than welcome to join us! That being said, please do not drop your children's church aged students (K-6) off without an adult attending them). 😊
We'd like to plan enough food, so if you wouldn't mind taking a second to let us know you're coming by going here https://forms.gle/LmKB6NAhzrGJrQwPA. Thank you!
Can't wait to see y'all there!

Happy last day of school (for AISD at least)!
The week after next is Family Camp. Just a reminder there will be no Wednesday activities that week (June 8th). BUT there is YOUTH NIGHT at the campgrounds that Thursday.
Our youth sponsor, Chris Thorpe, will take any students (and parents) who want to go down on the church van. The van will leave at 5:30 PM. Service begins at 7 PM, pizza and games begin at 9 PM, and the van will head home around 10:00 PM (arriving back around 11:00 PM).
If your student (and even you) would like to take the van down, please sign up below ASAP so we know how many to plan for 🙂

Hey, Extravaganza friends!
We leave in just 2 days and we are so excited!!
I need all parents/guardians to fill out this consent form ASAP.

Just a reminder that your student will need to bring $20 with them for extra meals not covered in registration. We will leave from the church at 2 PM. If you are not able to pick up your student from school, if you can add Curtis and me to their pick-up list we can get them. But you will need to arrange that with us beforehand.
I have included a packing list below. If you have any other questions, please let me know! And feel free to put them in the comments, there's a good chance if you're wondering there are other parents wondering as well 🙂
Packing List:
2 outfits for Friday and Saturday, if they are singing/performing or playing sports, they will need to bring the appropriate attire for those things. (Don't know what would be appropriate, let us know!) So far, it's looking like nice weather, sunny and 70 degrees.
1 nicer (doesn't have to be dressy) outfit for church on Sunday, we will be joining a local church and hearing Colton Mullins sister preach! Then we will head home afterward, so feel free to bring comfy clothes to change into.
Pjs/underwear/etc. ... you know, the important stuff
Comfy shoes, we will walk all around campus for 2 days straight, be kind to your feet!
Air mattress and/or sleeping bag
Toiletries (tooth brush/paste, shampoo, soap, washcloth, towel, deodorant, hair/makeup stuff)
Bible + journal, we will have evening services!
Jacket in case the weather changes on us and we get rain.
It helps to have a backpack to carry your stuff around campus.
Any extra money for traveling snacks is up to the parents. There will also be a Starbucks coffee shop on campus and a bookstore if they wanted to buy an SNU shirt, etc.
If they are performing/singing/submitting art/playing an instrument, there are certain things they will need to bring. If that is you/your student please reach out to us so we can talk about that as it pertains to your student.

I'm tagging anyone who has already expressed interest in the comments!

It's a busy weekend!
If your student wants to go to the mission rally tomorrow night we will bring a van. Let one of us know ASAP. Meet at the church at 4:45 PM. After the service, we will go out for ice cream before heading home.
Sunday morning we would appreciate the help of students to collect money for the Arlington Life Shelter. This is something Pastor Marcia used to do with the teens on Super Bowl Sunday and she said people loved it!
Then we have the Big Game Watch Part Sunday evening at 5 PM!
It's a lot and a busy weekend -- but they will be great opportunities for fellowship so we hope they/y'all are able to make it!
