A part of CNA’s Institute for Public Research, CNA’s education division helps policymakers and practitioners improve the quality of public education by providing critical decision-making support. We are unique because our researchers are in the field and have expertise ranging from experimental trials, to program evaluation, to technical assistance. Our approach combines objective scientific methods, evidence-based analysis, on-the-ground field experience, and absolute data integrity.

CNA is a not-for-profit research organization based in Arlington, VA which operates the Navy’s Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) and the Institute for Public Research (IPR).

CNA serves the public by providing in-depth analysis and results-oriented solutions to help educators improve teaching and learning, make better decisions and manage programs more effectively.

CNA pioneered the field of operations research and analysis over 70 years ago and, today, applies its efforts to a broad range of national security, defense, and public interest issues including education, homeland security, and air traffic management.
