This summer, let’s celebrate the strengths, creativity, and unique talents of students with dyslexia! Camp D.I.G. is a one-of-a-kind summer camp designed to empower, educate, and inspire kids in a fun and supportive environment.

In addition to four hours of purposeful academic work each day, campers experience all the joy of a traditional summer camp experience! Fishing, boating, swimming, archery, camp crafts and more fill their afternoons with fun and memories.

Our aim is to instill confidence, improve reading and spelling skills, enhance working memory and processing speed, and allow students to be part of a larger community of children experiencing similar struggles. Our campers are making lifelong friendships as they cheer each other on!

Our campers LOVE the robotics program! We use mindstorm educational robotic kits to build robots using LEGO! The campers build, program and complete tasks with robots using LEGO provided by FIRST LEGO League Robotics program. https://www.firstlegoleague.org/

We use the Equipping Minds Cognitive Curriculum to help our campers improve processing speed, working memory, comprehension and logical thinking. The game style activities invite students to "exercise" their brain! We see remarkable growth in our campers after twenty days with this program. https://equippingminds.com/

Our instructors are trained in the Orton-Gillingham method to teach reading. We use multisensory techniques to teach and review skills! The variety of of the multifaceted lesson keeps our students engaged and focused. Students at camp can progress as much as a grade level or more in one summer.

Camp D.I.G. is designed to the meet the unique needs of the dyslexic learner. Our aim is to instill confidence, improve reading and spelling skills, enhance working memory and processing speed, and allow students to be part of a larger community of children experiencing similar struggles. We will provide the much needed direct instruction that will bring about gains in the student's reading and spelling. We will offer opportunities for campers to do hard things and be successful. We will also offer sibling camp for families having other school age children who need childcare while the dyslexic student attends camp.
