Our Eagles were putting their reading AND writing skills to work today! 🦅✏️

Students practiced RACE:
R – Restate the question
A – Answer the question
C – Cite your evidence
E – Explain how your evidence connects to your answer

Today, they worked hard to identify each part of RACE in previously written Short Constructed Responses. Next time, they’ll take what they learned and apply it to their own writing! 💪📚

Thanks to our incredible Soaring Partners, every student at SGC received an Academic Planner this year! ❤️🖤

Students will use their planners throughout the year to keep track of assignments, important dates, reminders, and upcoming events while developing valuable organization and time-management skills.

We are so grateful to our Soaring Partners for investing in our students and helping set them up for success! Their support makes a difference and helps our Eagles soar! 🦅✨

We had a very special visitor on campus today-Stitch, Argyle ISD PD's K9 Dog, and Officer Staber!

Our students and teachers absolutely LOVED seeing him, and it’s safe to say Stitch was the star of the show! ⭐

We are so thankful for the dedication of AISD PD, and our SGC campus Police Officer Barton, for the important work they do to help keep our campus safe. We appreciate all they do to protect our students and staff—and we’re especially grateful for the smiles Stitch brings wherever he goes!

Learning Comes to Life at SGC!

Our 6th graders are experiencing hands-on learning in World Cultures and Science!

In World Cultures, students explored maps and globes and discovering why flat maps have some distortion when representing our round Earth.

In Science, students worked together to Save Fred, using the Engineering Design Process to plan, test, evaluate, and improve their solutions.

Our Eagles are building critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills through engaging, hands-on experiences!

A huge thank you to all our families who joined us for Curriculum Night last night! We loved seeing so many of you walking the halls, visiting classrooms, meeting teachers, and gaining a glimpse into your student’s day-to-day experience! We are excited for a wonderful school year together!
