Jimmy John, Ardmore City Schools Board of Education Seat 1 On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, voters in the Ardmore City School District voted for Jimmy John as the new Board of Education Representative for Seat 1.

Jimmy is slated to serve this community for a 5 year term.

I want to wish all Ardmore City Schools students a fantastic first day of school this academic year. To all Ardmore City Schools staff, I wish a smooth start to this academic year and may it be filled with eager students ready to learn.

As a new year is upon us, I want to do something for the ACS teachers. BUT, they must do something as well.

Each teacher is challenged to submit an essay covering these topics:
1) Why do they choose to teach with ACS?
2) Where would you like to see the direction of education go within ACS?
3) If you could make policy and administrative changes, what changes would you make?
4) Finally, how do you feel about the current culture within ACS, your school and how can it be improved?

These submissions are to be submitted to [email protected] no later than 12 August 2026 by 3:00pm.

Submissions must include teacher name, subject & grade they teach, school location.

One submission from each building (grade centers, AMS, AHS) will be chosen and awarded a monetary prize to be applied to their school supplies wishlist.

All submissions are to be read and judged by me alone. No information will be shared with ACS administration, other board members, or former/present ACS employees. Minimum of five (5) submissions from each school is required for that school to be eligible (so encourage your fellow teachers to submit their essays).
