Hello Everyone,

Today is Giving Day!

Giving Day is a 24 hour fundraiser put on by Cal Poly Humboldt to raise donations for different organizations on campus. The Ballet Folklorico de Humboldt Club is participating and we need YOU to help us! Any donation big or small can make a great impact towards our club goals. Hola todos!! We are once again excited to put on another Fiesta Folklorica performance!

We have been working hard on a lot of beautiful dances from all over Mexico and would love for you and your families to join us on February 20th, 21st, and 22nd for our performances!

This weekend we had the honor of celebrating Día de los Mu***os with community, throughout Arcata and Eureka.🫂 Thank you to everyone that came and welcomed their ancestors and loved ones. And a big thanks to .ciendita and for hosting these events. We dance everyday to celebrate and honor our loved ones💚🤍❤️

We are excited to see everyone back on campus! We hope everyone had an amazing first day!
As we begin the semester, we will resume club practices ✨. This Sunday, August 31st, will be our first practice of the semester. It will be held in Gist Hall 002 from 1p to 3pm.

The Dance department is hosting auditions for Fiesta Folkórica! (Separate from Club)

Mark your calendars for upcoming Fiesta Folklórica auditions! Come tryout for Folklórico and Danza Azteca! These auditions are open to everyone!

Folklórico auditions will be Friday Aug 29th at 6pm and Wednesday Sep 3rd at 7pm

Danza Azteca auditions will be Thursday Sep 4th at 7pm

All listed auditions will take place in GIST Hall 002!

Join us this Saturday at the Multicultural Fair in McKinleyville!! Free for all ages!!

We will be having multiple performances, hosting a hair braiding workshop, and a machete dancing workshop!!! 🪅

Many community groups will also be attending such as Arcata West African Dance and Drum, Black Humboldt, Bandemonium, Bertha Peters, Centro del Pueblo, Capoeira, Dr. Oop, Hip Hop Humboldt, Humboldt Taiko, Indigenous Habitat Institute, Makenu, Redwood Steel, Rocio Cristal Samba, Theresa Surbaugh, White Lotus Cultural Dancers, Yolteotl Danza Azteca, and MORE!
