School starts on Thursday, August 6th for Appomattox County Public Schools. Please be considerate of the bus drivers as they are learning their routes and please watch out for the kids getting on and off the bus. Do not try to go around a stopped bus. All school buses are equipped with cameras and they can turn you in if you try to pass them while they are stopped with the stop sign out.

Lynchburg Daily Bread is now distributing meals on Mondays from 11am - 11:30am at the Dogwood Apartments in Appomattox. The Daily Bread van will be parked in front of the mailboxes and playground. Please meet the driver there if you need meal assistance.

Community Friends! We got an abundance of produce today and don’t want to see it go bad. We will be serving FREE produce items 5/27 (Wednesday) from 5:30-7pm outside of our location 318 Harrell Street Appomattox.

First come, first serve open to anyone, no requirements.
