It‘s difficult to catch our littlest friends when they’re busy with their work. It’s just the two of us here (Ms. Mary and Ms. Colleen), and as you might imagine most of our time is spent with the children, not filming them. It’s a lot of fun when we manage to record the magic happening!

It’s the start of our botany study here at Wood Violet. The children discussed what they’d like to see growing in the school garden: strawberries, corn, bell peppers, tomatoes, and.…mashed potatoes!

Every child wants to feel competent and able to understand their world. Tactile materials, like the Golden Beads, can bring abstract concepts like large numbers into context that young children can literally hold in their hands! What’s the biggest number your little one can count up to?

Happy Lunar New Year! Our students found out what animals correspond to their birth year, just for fun. They wished that one of them could have been born in the year of the dragon!
