As I navigated the turbulent waters of heartbreak, I found solace in penning short Odes to the loves of my past, present and future—each verse a testament to the joys and pains of relationships. Over the course of nine years, this book became not only a means of healing but also a testament to the transformative power of love.

My aim in sharing these deeply personal reflections is to offer a raw and unfiltered glimpse into the complexities of love and loss. I’m going to stay STEADFAST to my commitment to breaking the chains of generational trauma. My ancestors gifted me resilience, strength of character, and an unwavering belief in self-worth. Despite facing adversity, they loved themselves and paved the way for me to be here. I choose to lean into their positive legacy of value, abundance, and determination. Healing is a journey that often takes us to foreign lands, places that feel entirely unfamiliar. In this uncharted territory, we don’t speak the language, and it can be incredibly daunting because of the vast unknown that lies ahead. It’s a journey that, at times, feels like stepping into the great unknown.

You may not recognize who you are during this process; you may feel like a stranger in your own skin. But, just like embarking on a journey to destinations you’ve never seen before, healing offers you the chance to discover yourself anew.

This foreign land of healing opens up opportunities for growth, transformation, and self-discovery. It allows you to learn a new language, the language of self-compassion and self-acceptance. It teaches you to see the world through healed eyes, where the beauty of life becomes more vivid, and your connections with others deepen.

So, even though the path of healing can be scary and uncertain, remember that it’s a journey worth taking. Embrace the unfamiliar, for it is in those uncharted territories that you’ll find the most amazing versions of yourself. Healing is a beautiful journey of self-reintroduction and transformation, one that opens doors to a life where you speak the language of love and compassion, and see the world through healed eyes. 🌱💪💖 inspired by 👑
