Art Class is Raising the Ante

Check out the incredible "Face Card" designs from our Art Appreciation class. Our students are exploring identity and nature through the lens of graphic design. By combining symmetry with personal symbolism, students are transforming ordinary playing cards into works of art. From the "King of Bees" to the "Queen of Canines," see how our artists are mastering color layering and composition to create a deck like no other!

Wellness Wednesday — Taking Care of the MHS Team!

As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, we are proud to provide our teachers and staff with a chance to pause, recharge, and feel appreciated.

Teachers enjoyed 20-minute breaks to relax in a massage chair and refuel with snacks, while we stepped in to cover their classes.

Celebrating Our Classified Staff Member of the Year!

We are proud to recognize our outstanding Classified Staff Member of the Year, Mrs. Lin Jones, whose dedication and care make a difference for students, staff, and families every day.

With 21 years in the district, Mrs. Jones began as a substitute office assistant before joining MHS full-time. She has served as an Attendance Secretary and now as our School Secretary and Registrar, playing a vital role in keeping our campus running smoothly and supporting our entire school community.

Mrs. Jones believes MHS is special because of the strong sense of care and commitment shared by the staff.

After spending time at home raising her children, Mrs. Jones found a perfect fit working in the district, allowing her to support students while still being present for her family.

Outside of school, Mrs. Jones enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors, hiking, biking, and paddleboarding.

Mrs. Jones is grateful to her coworkers for recognizing her efforts, and WE are grateful for the dedication, positivity, and heart she brings to MHS every day.

Celebrating Our MHS Teacher of the Year!

We are proud to celebrate our 2026 Teacher of the Year, Kim Baioni. Mrs. Baioni’s dedication, passion, and commitment to students make a lasting impact every single day.

With 31 years in CJUSD and 20 years at McClellan High School, Mrs. Baioni has worn many hats, including English teacher, Leadership teacher, Video Media Advisor, PBIS and Restorative Justice Coordinator, and Testing Coordinator.

Mrs. Baioni helps create a school where students feel seen, supported, and valued. She believes in educating the whole child, focusing not only on academics, but also on students’ social and emotional well-being.

Mrs. Baioni always knew she wanted to be a teacher. She deeply committed to helping each student find success and take pride in who they are. It is Mrs. Baioni’s students who continue to inspire and motivate her each day.

Outside of school, Mrs. Baioni enjoys gardening and spending time at the beach, her happy place.

Mrs. Baioni’s focus remains clear, every decision is made with students in mind, always striving to open Doors of Opportunity and support their success.
