☕🫘Mug Adapter Design🫖☕

Have you ever had a coffee/tea mug that is your favorite and just won't fit in your cup holder??

Students were assigned to design an adapter that would
✅ fit in the car cup holder
✅ Fit the coffee mug (4" diameter)
✅Allow room for mug handle

⬇️⬇️see below what they came up with. They had one week to design and research. First two photos are mug not fitting⬇️⬇️

⛏️🧊Ice Breaker Home Repair🔨🏠

To break the "design" ice for the Advanced Inventor students, they designed their own fan k***s for a house hold fan. This issue happens often and usually you just buy a new fan, but what if you could make your k**b in minutes and customize it to make it better??

⬇️⬇️Here is what the first designs looked like. Left photo is original fan k**b.⬇️⬇️

🦾🖱️Accessibility Design Workshop ♿🦽

Students in the Summer class of Advanced Inventor were challenged to design an angled mouse pad to aid in persons with mobility restrictions. Requirements were to be ergonomic and have a "rim" that would prevent the mouse from falling if said person was to remove their hand. Not all students met full requirements, but this was a fun challenge to get students to think about others. All research was done on their own, they had one week to complete.

🚀👩🏼‍🚀Aerospace Challenge👩🏼‍🚀🚀

In our advanced Inventor class, students were charged with designing a hand tool that would work with the limited dexterity that an astronaut glove would have. They were required to do their own research and inspiration.

🩸🥼Medical Week !!!🩺🏥

In our advanced Inventor class, students were tasked with designing a medical vial holder that could hold up to 20 vials. We 3D printed "mock" vials to test them out! This is what the students came up with. They had to research on their own to decide style and size of each component.

We trained some young engineering minds for a one day camp at the Advanced Manufacturing Center. These eager learners learned how to use the Autodesk Inventor modeling software to create their very own Dual Name plate. One way it reads "TALENT", the other it reads "SEARCH", they customized each piece with their own names. Each student got a 3D print of the finished project to take home. All students were part of the Gadsden Trio Talent Search program, we look forward to working with them again in the future!
