Women Who Sail Group Page Our group is for women/women identifying and non-binary sailors. To join Women Who Sail please read our group guidelines here: bit.ly/wwsguidelines. Cool. A14.

WELCOME to Women Who Sail! Women Who Sail was founded Dec 13, 2011. This group is place for women who love boats to come together and connect. Some of us live on boats and some of us want to. Some of us know a LOT about boats, some know not much at all. We are single; we are married; we have kids; we are retired. No matter who we are, this is a place to share respectful, supportive discourse. With

thousands of members, please keep posts shared to the group relevant to the boating community of women. Please ask to join the GROUP for conversation, support, and sharing of relevant information. The group can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/WomenWhoSail/

Requests to join are reviewed by a member of the admin team. GUIDELINES:
1. Women Who Sail is for women only and those who identify as female. No dudes allowed. No shared accounts. Your real given name.
2. Be kind and respectful. You CAN disagree but you must do it respectfully. This is an art form so work on practicing it and this group and the world will be a better place for your efforts.
3. If you can’t be respectful and supportive, scroll on to another post.
4. Be here to support, learn, share, and engage.
5. Many topics are repeated; please use the Search box to mine archived info.
6. No GoFundMe or fundraisers except in specified situations posted by admins.
7. No politics, religion, or prayer request posts.
8. Files: if you have a file to upload, an admin will do that for you; contact a member of the admin team to share.
9. Promotion: Your first post may not be promotional. Writing a post (or sharing one) with a link to your blog post, your YT video, your article, your boat FB page, your sailing-related business should happen no more frequently than once a month. Adding a link to a relevant blog post of yours as a relevant response to a question is absolutely fantastic and is encouraged at all times. Members who join WWS and only engage to promote will be removed.
10. No rants/memes/unrelated-to-boating stuff.
11. Selling a boat? You may initiate ONE post about it per month with ONE picture or post in related ‘boat for sale posts.’
12. Don’t post and ask “if this is okay with admins” – ASK an admin first by messaging.
13. All content in this group is PRIVATE and can NOT be published elsewhere without an individual’s explicit written permission. dmins MUST be able to reach you via pm. If you are unable to use Facebook messenger, or block an admin, your membership will be revoked.
15. Admins may remove or shut down comments on any post at any time. There are seven admins and over 13,300 members. If you have a question or a concern, contact us directly versus starting a post to discuss it with 13,000 people :)

Tomorrow Women Who Sail is going to be on TV here in the US on NBC! We are going to be on an episode of Play it Forward with the Harlem Globetrotters.

We are so excited about what we filmed over the summer and it's premiering tomorrow! I love any opportunity we can get to talk about women and sailing and getting people out on the water.

I hope you all get a chance to watch. Check your local listings to catch it live tomorrow (Saturday the 18th) on NBC.

Hello Women Who Sail!

We are heading to the Annapolis Boat Show and this year we’ll have a larger booth: M3 + M4. We will be between the VIP tent and the Hendrick's Gin barge next to The Boat Galley (&L Pardey Publications) booth.

We are looking to find some volunteers who would like to do some shifts at our booth. In exchange, you’ll get a free pass to the show that’s good for the days you volunteer.

If you’d like to sign up for a shift please click here: bit.ly/wws-annapolis2022

We’ll definitely be planning a meetup. More info to come!
