Concordia University Ann Arbor Occupational Therapy Program Our students experience faith based education and support that readies them to serve our world through Christ in the Church.

We believe “supporting the rights of each person to determine his or her occupational choices, acknowledging the dignity of every person at every stage of life and the belief in the power of ‘doing’ to facilitate change” (Schaber & Candler, 2020, p. 50). CUAA OT Mission:

“The Concordia University Ann Arbor Occupational Therapy Program prepares clinicians who are passionately committed to recognizing the dignity of all human beings through participation in valued occupations, resilient and creative problem solvers prepared to rise to the challenges of a changing world.”

Desiray Williams never planned to pursue a master’s degree.

Now, she’s a third-grade teacher completing her master’s in curriculum and instruction with teacher certification — and was the class speaker for CUAA’s December 2025 graduation.

Her journey to CUAA was shaped by faith, faculty mentorship, and perseverance through real adversity. One of 13 children, Desiray credits Concordia’s Christ-centered community for helping her grow into a confident educator who integrates faith into the classroom and leads with joy and resilience.
