The Bhangra community stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement against systemic racism and white supremacy. We, along with 55+ teams across the circuit, are selling these shirts to raise money for the cause. 100% of the profits will be donated; they will be evenly split between the Center for Black Equity, Live Free, Equal Justice Initiative, and NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
To represent both the Punjabi and Black elements of the design, we’re partnering with Phulkari Co. and Keez Design. Phulkari Co., a Punjabi-owned & woman-led business, has specialized in fusing Western fashion with Punjabi embroidery since 2018. Keez Design, a Black-owned business, is a design and print studio in Oakland, CA that has worked with prominent clients such as Old Navy, Lauryn Hill, and the San Francisco Fire Department.
