🥯☕ Fueled & Focused: Thank You, PRMS PTO! ☕🥯
Our Prairie Ridge staff had an extra spring in their step today! Thanks to the amazing generosity of our school community, our PTO provided a delicious breakfast of bagels and fresh coffee for our team on today's Professional Development day (Monday, October 12th).

Moments like this mean the world to our teachers and staff as they work hard behind the scenes to plan for our students!

💖 Powered by "Five to Thrive"
This special treat was made possible thanks to everyone who has already donated to the PTO's Five to Thrive campaign. Your contributions directly support our staff, fund school projects, and make moments of appreciation like this possible. We are so grateful for your continued partnership and support!

If you haven't had a chance to contribute yet and would still like to donate to the Five to Thrive campaign, there's still time!

🎨 Student Advocacy in Action! 📢

During WIN time, a group of our 7th grade students have been focusing on health advocacy—and their hard work is on full display! Check out this incredible poster created by one of our 7th graders to promote our upcoming Healthiest State Walk on October 7th!

All students will be participating during their Health/PE period by taking a walk outside to recharge, get active, and support state-wide wellness. 🌿🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

Huge thanks to our student advocates for inspiring us to get moving! 🏆

🚀 WIN Time in Action! 🌟

During our WIN (What I Need) period, students are diving deep into hands-on, real-world learning across 6th grade! Here’s a peek at what our students have been up to today:

🪂 6th Grade Science with Mr. Christensen & Mr. Long

Students engineered parachutes! Groups worked together to formulate hypotheses and test their designs, carefully recording and charting data to analyze how different variables impacted drop times. 📊🧪

🇨🇦 6th Grade Math with Ms. Booher

Students embarked on a global expedition! They've been "traveling" from location to location, converting currencies to budget for exciting activities along the way. Today’s destination? Toronto, Canada! 🍁💸

We love seeing our students explore, calculate, and collaborate during WIN! 💡✨

🎉 Learning on the move in 7th grade math! 🏃‍♂️📐

Last week, our 7th graders took on a Math Scavenger Hunt to master finding the constant of proportionality (k) and writing proportional equations (y = kx) directly from tables.

It was awesome seeing students actively engaged, moving around the room, and working collaboratively with their peers to solve each challenge! 💡📊

Hi Prairie Ridge Families!

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has other plans! 🌧️ Due to the weather forecast, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming Prairie Ridge Middle School Tailgate Event.

We know our students were excited to hang out, have some fun, and enjoy the tailgate, and we’re just as disappointed that we won’t be able to make it happen this time.

Thank you for understanding and for helping us keep our students safe. We look forward to celebrating together at another Prairie Ridge event soon!

Go Jags! 🐾💙

Huge shout-out to our 6th graders in 1st Lunch! 🎉 Off to an incredible start this school year, these Jaguars have consistently demonstrated what it means to be respectful, responsible, and safe in the lunchroom.

For the past few weeks, students have been participating in our Mystery Row challenge—earning a paw print each day the Mystery Row's table tops, floors, and aisles were left completely spotless. Their team effort and high standards paid off today as they officially hit their 20 paw goal to unlock FREE SEATING for the rest of the year! 🥳

To make the celebration even better, today happened to land right on PJ Day! 🥱🍿 To say the excitement in the lunchroom was at an all-time high is an understatement. We are so proud of our 6th graders for taking pride in their space and setting such a great example. We’ll keep holding these high expectations as we work toward our next fun lunch reward. Way to go, Jags! 🐾🖤💛
