Sadly sharing that AHS1970 classmate & friend Bryson Wright’s mother, Fredda Lou Wright, passed away on March 27,2026 at age 95. A Celebration of her life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday,April 18, 2026 at St Anne’s Episcopal Church at 2110 W 1st St in Ankeny. WOW ISU Cyclones Men WIN 83-82 over St John’s in a thriller to the buzzer vs a team coached by Rick Pitino for our first game in the Eras Festival in LAs Vegas! Our Milan’s hot shooting 5- 3 pointers lit up the team & fans. Tomorrow they play Creighton at 1pm on TruTV and hopefully Tamin Lipsey will be healthy to play after he was injured late in this game❤️💛🏀

Sadly I share that AHS 1970 classmate Gary Neely ‘s father passed away Thursday July 24, 2025. Visitation is Tuesday July 29 at 10am then a burial right after at Overtons in Indianola. Sincere Sympathies to Gary & his family.

Ankeny High School Class of 1970 Reminder to come to our Class Reunion on Saturday July 12, 2025 which starts at 1 pm at Dennis Albaugh’s Chevy Museum ( Adults only-no children) . At 3pm at Vittoria Lodge reunion activities begin including catered dinner at 6pm! If you did not receive the mailed document that means we do not have your current address so let us know please. Sadly I share news about Chris Blair, our AHS Ankeny High School Class of 1970 classmate:

I just got the following FB message from Buz Phelps about his brother-in-law, Chris Blair.

"In late March he (Chris) was diagnosed with leukemia and has been fighting that fight since. It got bad pretty quick and he has been in and out of the hospital. Shelly has informed us this AM, that they discontinued treatment today when they discovered it has spread to blood and spine. They are leaving the hospital and going to hospice."❤️‍🩹🤞

9am enjoy the Ankeny Chamber SummerFest Grand Parade with its theme “Celebrate Ankeny Through the Decades” How Fitting!!

1pm-3pm Tour Dennis Albaugh’s Chevrolet Museum at 1525 NE 36th Street

3pm at the Vittoria Lodge at 7200 NW 2nd Avenue,Ankeny IA Play Bocce Ball, Co****le games, beverages, mingle & Remember each of our 49 deceased classmates viewing their Memorial pages. ❤️
5pm the Bar opens at Vittoria Lodge
6pm Catered Dinner by Whatcha Smokin BBQ
11pm Ends our Saturday July 12, 2025 festivities. We ask you pay $40 per person.
