THANK YOU. 💚

You guys showed up to support this incredible family yesterday. Thank you for stopping by, thank you for creating, donating, and spending time at the studio in support of Lucas! The studio was packed for 3 straight hours with friends, family, and community coming together to show support.

I am so happy to share that not only did we create a lot of really fun and supportive projects, but we also raised $1,370 with your participation which will go directly to Lucas and his family!

One thing I want to ask is that just because this event is over, we don’t stop showing up. Wear your bracelets. Share his story. Donate more if you’re able. Send encouragement. Check in on his family. Keep showing up!

Yesterday was one day, but Lucas and his family are facing this every day. Let’s make sure they continue to feel this community standing behind them. And again, THANK YOU! 💚

Tomorrow is the day we create for Lucas! Stop by the studio anytime between 1-4PM to support Lucas and his battle against lymphoma. Here are the details…

💚Saturday, Oct 3rd
💚1-4PM (Stop in anytime)
💚$20 for the first participating kid, $10 for each additional participating kid in your family
💚ALL of your funds will be donated to Lucas’ family
💚We’ll have four fun craft stations to rotate through and enjoy with your kiddos - all in support of Lucas!

Calling all toddler and preschool parents…did you know we host Sunday open art/play time several times per month? We call these our Paint+Play workshops!

Hey, CC Fam! It’s Kylie! Long post ahead, but I’m asking you to PLEASE read this one all the way through! I want to introduce you to someone very special – meet Lucas! 💚

You may or may not know him, but he’s been a “regular” artist at the studio since we opened back in December 2024. He loves art, video games, playing with friends, and lots of other typical things that most 7-year-old boys do!

This past May, Lucas was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma and his life has been completely flipped upside down. He’s currently going through intensive chemotherapy at the University of Iowa’s Stead Family Children’s Hospital. His treatments are frequent and very powerful – often limiting his ability to do those things he loves to do, including going to school.

Lucas is such a sweet and kind kid, and his family is going through the unimaginable as Lucas is facing a fight that no 7-year-old should ever have to face. With all this being said, I want to invite you to a VERY special event to support Lucas and his family!

Join us with your kids at the studio on Saturday, October 3rd from 1-4PM to Create for Lucas. We’ll be collecting $20 for the first participating child in your family and $10 for each additional child attending. At the event, we’ll come together to create a special book for Lucas to uplift him during this time, design buttons to wear to show our support, create Lucas Strong bracelets to wear, AND complete a scavenger hunt to find all of Lucas’ favorite things hidden around the studio – a fun activity to learn a little more about him if you don’t already know him!

The best part? 100% of your funds will go directly to Lucas and his family to support them. Not only that, but we’ll create a sense of community for Lucas to show him that he is not in this fight alone - AND you’ll get an opportunity to have some fun creating for a cause with your own kiddos.

We are coming up on another Sunday Paint+Play this weekend for ages 18 months - 5 years! Join the fun and reserve your spot before we’re full.

Our 9:00 session is sold out, but we have room in our 11:00 session!

Enjoy a casual environment with an open play/exploration set up including a variety of creative stations - a simple painting project, playdough, sensory bins, fine motor crafts, a scavenger hunt, puzzles, themed books, magnetic wall, and so much more!
