A HUGE thank you to all of the parents who joined us this morning for our Room Parent Meeting! We loved seeing so many familiar and new faces and are so excited to have over 70 parents signed up to serve this year! 🎉
So, what exactly does a Room Parent do? 👀
Room Parents are an important link between our teachers, PTO, and classroom families. They help:
🍂 Fall for Midway Auction: Help with classroom auction baskets and coordinate donations/participation from classroom families.
🎉 Classroom Celebrations: Help organize and coordinate classroom parties and celebrations throughout the year.
🏃♀️ Field Day: Assist with Field Day needs and help rally classroom families when volunteers or supplies are needed.
📣 Keep Families Connected: Room Parents are responsible for communicating with classroom parents and requesting their participation for the activities above.
⭐ Volunteer Opportunities: Room Parents get first dibs on various volunteer opportunities throughout the school year!
Interested in being a Room Parent next year? The first requirement is being a PTO member, so make sure you sign up at registration.
