Another graduation is in the books 🥰🥰🥰
We may have only had six graduates this year, but their families showed up and showed OUT for them 🥰🥰🥰🥰
My (almost) daughter did the opening and closing, and my bestie gave the speech! Both of these ladies dislike speaking in front of people, but they rocked it. Of course there were tears, but they got through it 🥰🥰🥰
The kids did such an amazing job! I believe this was the first year each and every child did a freestyle dance! EPIC!
Thank you to Shelby Greve, Shelby Lakey, Macy Dunn Rileigh Jarrett, Kamesa King and Lilly Mcdole for all your help setting up and cleaning up!!
Haley Trout your cookies were amazing! The kiddos names were the perfect touch🥰 They were a huge hit! And of course, my church, Northview, for hosting us again this year 🫶🫶

Color Crush: Neons & Brights! Shop my list!
I have been so busy with everything and, of course, graduation 😊 I have had this post ready for a bit and keep forgetting to post it. I’m only a few weeks behind lol.
Teacher Appreciation Week has honestly been a struggle for me this year. We’ve been dealing with the 65% funding cuts and FSSA taking away vouchers, which equals losing kids ☹️ We’ve had to cut hours, some of the girls had to pick up second jobs, and some have left 😔 I wasn’t able to do for them what I normally would. If you know me at all, I really try hard to make sure every single one of my coworkers feels appreciated!! These ladies deserve the world and so much more 💛 I don’t just appreciate these ladies one week out of the year — I appreciate them 52 weeks a year!
Amy — is an absolute nut case 😂 but loves those babies with all her heart. Thank you for always being flexible with where you go and the hours you work. No matter where we need you, you step in without complaining, and you show each child so much love and compassion. We all love your quirky personality, your no-bake “soup” cookies, and your funny stories 😂💛
Dani — this past year I’ve really watched you grow and mature. The love and patience you have with the kids is amazing, and they absolutely adore you. You always have the best baby mama drama stories too 🤣🤣 I cannot wait to meet your little girl and watch you step into the mommy role.
Gravy — you always show up for Hooligans, offering a truck and shovel at times lol. Your dedication, work ethic, and compassion for the kids never goes unnoticed. You’re always willing to come in early or later when needed, and that means more than you know. The way some of the kids run to you every morning for their special hugs says a lot. You have such a special bond with your kids. I know most days you want to strangle me for the messes I leave for you in the mornings, but I see it as job security 😂 Oh… and my fish are thankful for you feeding them every morning too, because I would have killed them long ago 😂🥰 We wouldn’t have a Father or Mother Dodge without you 😊
Kamesa — you’ve truly become one of “us.” From jumping in wherever needed to now being the official soda go-getter 😄, you’ve become such an important part of Hooligans. The kids absolutely love having you as their teacher because you treat them like your own. You’re patient, caring, and always make them feel loved. You’ve built such sweet relationships with your kids, and they’re always so excited to see you every day 💛 Sometimes you are a little crazy, but hey… who isn’t? lol
Lakey — well… we always know when you’re in the building 🤣 loud, crazy, energetic, and the kids absolutely LOVE it. You’re basically the cool aunt-but-teacher version 😂💛 Your dedication to Hooligans is deeply appreciated! I honestly am happy to see your face when you’re there — you make Macy’s spiciness meter go down a notch or two 😂 I believe you have found your purpose—being a mommy to Zay
Lilly — watching you grow into yourself as a teacher has been an amazing journey so far. At only 16, the patience and kindness you have with the toddlers is so special to see. They absolutely love you, and it’s been so fun watching your confidence grow this year and getting to know the true Lilly 💛 You have such huge potential, and I see you going far in life. We would love to keep ya around — as long as you quit stealing Emma lol.
Logan — our bulletin board QUEEN 👑 and staple gun boss 😂 When you first started, crafts weren’t your thing lol 🫣🤷♀️ (all the drawings you have done for me over the past 9 years 😂), and now look at you… making amazing boards and cute crafts!
The kids always ask about you when you’re not there, and that tells me a lot 💛 You’re always willing to participate in whatever crazy things we throw at you — graduation speeches, teacher appreciation games, skits, TikToks, decorating… all of it. You take it all on like a champ!
Now… sometimes we don’t always see eye to eye and butt heads every now and then 🤣 but you keep showing up, and for that I’m grateful! I have noticed your science project cups have become less frequent though 👍😂
Macy — we’ve spent WAY too much time together lately 😄😄 You’ve become so spicy, but your spiciness keeps me on my toes. Your impersonations and extra spiciness these past few weeks either have me cracking up or wanting to throat punch you 😂 However, there is no way I would have made it through this mess without all your help 😊😂 The kids are always SO excited to see you every day… even if half of them forget your name or don’t know your name 🫣🤣🤣 You are beyond loyal and basically live at the center at this point because you never leave 😂 Your dedication, drive, and willingness to always be there for Hooligans never goes unnoticed 💛 Thank you for stepping in these past 6 weeks!!!!
Rileigh — the true meaning of a ride-or-die friend/coworker 😂 I can say, “Rileigh, let’s go,” and she says, “OK.” She doesn’t ask where we’re going, when we’re going, why, or how 😂 We always get in trouble together, whether it’s getting ducks, pigs, squirrels… or trips to Hobby Lobby. This lady is such a hard worker — she dedicates her life to Hooligans and their families and will literally take in any child that is “left on her doorstep” without hesitation. She has such a huge heart and doesn’t care when people take advantage of her kindness because she continues to give and help regardless of getting anything in return 💛
Sabra — thank you for always coming in when needed, no matter the time of day. I can always count on you to bring in fun activities for the kiddos to make or try 😊 You have also become my weekend package getter lol. When things get delivered on the weekends or the fire department shows up, Sabra always walks down to make sure everything is OK, and the packages get moved inside! I’m very thankful for you 💛
Trae'Lynn — sitting back and watching you fight and advocate for Hooligans, OUR company, OUR families, OUR friends, OUR children, and OUR coworkers during the funding crisis was one of my proudest boss moments and momma moments. The news interviews, meetings with — let’s call them what they are — “dicks” 😂 and the legislative sessions… You showed up for all of us and fought for what you believed in. You never gave up on Hooligans. The minute you decided to run as an independent was one of my proudest mom moments 💛 You had a whole army behind you, ready to make it happen. It’s sad how things ended, how much you left behind, and the impact it had 💔 but your fight for Hooligans is very much appreciated.
Vickie (Mamaw) — after covering your position lately… whew 😅 you are UNDERAPPRECIATED. The cooking, cleaning, organizing, the milk, the trash… it never ends and just repeats all day long 😂 I truly think the staff and kids dread mealtimes when you’re not there, and I have to cook lol. The stained clothes, the stains you magically get out of everyone’s clothes… you’re basically the laundry whisperer 🥰
All these ladies deserve so much recognition for the hard work, love, dedication, and time they pour into these kids, families, and Hooligans every single day.
Even through funding cuts, reduced hours, stress, and uncertainty, 95% of these girls stood beside Hooligans. They stood beside me. They stepped in wherever needed, no matter what the task was. Some of these ladies drive 45 minutes just to work a few hours a day, some are working for a third of their paycheck, and some are simply volunteering their time — and that kind of dedication means everything to me. I know who will always have my back and fight for us!
We are more than coworkers — we are a team, we are a family
We’ve been through so much together. Some have gone from teenagers to young ladies to wives, and some have become mothers while working here. We’ve laughed together, cried together, survived COVID together, and made it through some really hard times together. We have had many shocking moments and very surprising moments 😊
We have made SO many fun memories together 💛 I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world! This is what Hooligans are -family!
Through every trial and every struggle, these ladies never stopped showing up for these kids and families, and for that, I will be forever grateful. I am so lucky to have these ladies in my corner and proud to call them my “adopted daughters.”
In childcare, turnover rates are common, so I think it’s awesome that I’ve had my girls around for so long 💛
