The BrickMasters are a FIRST Lego League robotics team robotics team based in Anchorage, Alaska. These skills are taught through “Challenges”.

FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) is a robotics program which is designed to introduce young people, ages 9 to 14 (grades 4-8), to the fun and excitement of science, technology, engineering and math. Through FLL, students learn valuable employment and life skills which will benefit them, no matter which career path they choose, in their future. Past Challenges in the FLL have been based on topics such as

Calling all Anchorage FLL teams! Don't let the earthquake shake your confidence! Help is here! This Thursday, experienced FLL veterans will be on hand to assist with robot design, programming, project, and Core Values. We will help you prepare and practice. Come to the Alaska Communications Business Technology Center between 9 AM and 5 PM. Bring at least one adult, snacks to share, and your questions.

FLL Camp in Juneau, AK. The kids learned lots of new skills, especially the power of using VARIABLES and SENSORS to make their programs more reliable in various conditions. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Coach Elaine here. Just wrapped up a three-day FLL camp at UAA plus an evening session for experts. We had participants from Delta Junction, Noorvik, Palmer, and Anchorage. All three staff helpers were FIRST alumni. I had a blast! These teams are going to rock the Hydro Dynamics FLL season!

I may or may not have some secrets about next year...

Here it is. 292 points which put us in 14th place. One piece fell off the pig arm causing the robot to miss the pig. Otherwise, it was a perfect run (for us) with 60 points from Brazil's animal conservation mission.
