UAA Social Work Coalition The School of Social Work offices are located in Suite 234 of the Professional Studies Building.

The Student Social Work Coalition is a way to connect to UAA, the National Association of Social Workers, and the Anchorage community. Our objective is to create resources for social work related issues, provide lasting friendships, educational groups, and to create learning opportunities in how to make positive changes in the community.

The coalition is hosting it’s first in-person and zoom meeting for the Fall semester this upcoming Wednesday, October 5th!

Come meet our new officers, faculty advisors, and other social work students

The in-person meeting is located in PSB 210C (floor 2) and a zoom option is available as well.
You can either follow the zoom link posted in the bio or the login listed in the post.

The Society of Law and Justice Club at UAA started an initative, The Ukrainian Project, in support of Urkraine by making ribbons to sell to donate funds to Unicef for children.

All proceeds will be given to Unicef for children caught in the crossfire of the Ukraine crisis allowing full humanitarian access to families and roughly 500,000 children in need. "Key emergency interventions include: prepositioning health, hygiene and emergency education supplies as close as possible to communities near the line of contact trucking safe water to conflict-affected areas supporting mobile child protection teams providing psychosocial care to children traumatized by chronic insecurity, responding to cases of violence and abuse against children and assisting children separated from family working with municipalities to ensure there is immediate help for children and families in need."
