Please join us in welcoming Amy Urbanus as the new Assistant Dean for the UAA School of Preventive & Therapeutic Sciences ! 🎉

After a competitive search, we’re excited to welcome Amy into this leadership role. Amy has been part of UAA since 2018, serving as an Associate Professor in Dietetics and Nutrition and Program Director for the BS in Dietetics.

With 25 years of experience as a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified diabetes educator, Amy brings strong healthcare connections, leadership experience, and a deep commitment to interprofessional education.

“I’m honored and excited to serve as Assistant Dean and help lead this incredible school,” Amy shared. “Our school is defined by passionate, dedicated faculty and staff who are deeply committed to interprofessional and community-based education and to always putting students first. As a team, the future ahead is both promising and bright.”

Did you know that nearly 45% of students at UAA have experienced food insecurity?

That’s why the Seawolf Food Pantry was established by faculty in the College of Health’s Dietetics and Nutrition program. Since its founding, the pantry has been proudly staffed by COH faculty and students, who continue to ensure that every Seawolf has access to free food, hygiene items, and household goods. 💚💛

This resource thrives thanks to the generosity of faculty, staff, and students across UAA, and it stands as a powerful example of how the College of Health is working to reduce stigma, support student success, and strengthen our community.

🏀 Elaina lit up the court with 41 points, tying the program’s single-game scoring record and breaking the school record with 10 three-pointers in the Seawolves’ dominant 100-57 victory over Northwest University.

Her achievement not only cements her place in Seawolf history but also highlights the incredible talent and dedication of our College of Health students.

🏀 Elaina lit up the court with 41 points, tying the program’s single-game scoring record and breaking the school record with 10 three-pointers in the Seawolves’ dominant 100-57 victory over Northwest University.

Her achievement not only cements her place in Seawolf history but also highlights the incredible talent and dedication of our College of Health students.
