League Cycling Instruction Alaska

LCI buddies. Tomorrow is the last Museum Bike Ride of the summer (in conjunction with Bike Anchorage). I have been on both the previous ones and it really is a lot of fun. Brian Litmans and I are going to be going, but it's always nice to have a few extra skilled cyclists. Route is from downtown to UMed then back. Our first trip we had 45 cyclists. An extra couple of wheels or 4 would be fun and less stressful. Plus you get to go for free. Just let me know if you can come. Saturday, July 25 1 pm Anchorage Museum. It'll be a lot of fun. :)

The Trek Store fully endorses and supports the establishment of a "Share the Road" specialty license plate. This will be proposed to the Alaska State Legislature this session. Don't forget to sign the petition in our shop so we can make this happen.

Traffic Skills class on way to League Instructor's training in September; a very small window for more interested parties: call 343-4715 with questions.

Anchorage: Traffic Skills 101 class Sat. 10/12/13 9:00AM-6:00PM. Learn bicycle basics, maintenance basics, equipment and clothing. Practice maneuvers to avoid crashes; learn and practice principles and etiquette of riding on roads and paths. This class is for novice cyclists/one prerequisite for application to a League Cycling Instructor seminar. For adults and for youths ages 14-18 yr. with written parental permission. Helmets required; dress for cool weather, possible rain. Participants must supply mechanically sound bikes for drills and rides as part of the class. Preregistration required: (907) 343-4715.
