Every day, Dimond’s teachers and staff show up for our students in ways big and small. During Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, we have one goal: make sure every single staff memberfeels seen, valued, and appreciated.

That only happens when our community shows up.

A few extra volunteers ensure everything runs smoothly and keeps the workload light for everyone.

When participation is spread across many families, it keeps the ask small for everyone, but the impact becomes huge for our staff.

National PTA Conference 2026!

✨This Could Keep 80+ Teachers in Classrooms 📚✨

If approved by voters, the one-time education levy (Proposition 9) could provide $11.8 million for Anchorage schools for the 2026–27 school year.

ASD has committed to use this funding to retain more than 80 teaching positions and reduce the projected increase in class size from +4 students to +2 students per class.

The cost to taxpayers would be approximately $27.40 per $100,000 of assessed property value, that's about $109.60 for a $400,000 home, one time.

While this does not solve our long-term school funding challenges, it could make a meaningful difference for Anchorage classrooms next year.
