After careful review of our guest policy we have made one revision. 8th grade students who are 13 or older may attend prom without a high school sponsor. If it goes well, we will extend the policy to our future events!

Join us May 10th from 5:30 to 9:30 at ChangePoint Alaska for the 2025 Anchorage Homeschool Steam Punk Prom!

We will have Stephanie Burgoon taking professional photos from 5:30 - 6:30. All photos will be uploaded to a shared file. Those preferring privacy may use the backdrop to take their own photos after 6:30. https://www.instagram.com/goongallery96/

Cristopher Jones, from Anchorage DJ Academy at The Workshop, will join us as professional disk jockey.

Appetizers and punch will be included in the ticket price!

With ticketing fees, prom tickets come to just under $50 per student this year. We will have a very limited number of discounted/free tickets available to families willing to help volunteer at the event. We are looking for those with experience with security, education or food handling and have a background check completed through their work or volunteer experience. I will get post more information on volunteer opportunities soon.

Just like last year, this is an event for Homeschool students and those from schools that do not host a prom. As representatives of the homeschool/private school community, students are expected to be at their best behavior. This is a drug/alcohol/smoke/vape free space. I will be posting FAQs soon, but feel free to comment with any questions you might have.

Prom Update:
I was hoping to post once everything was confirmed, but we are getting lots of inquiries, so I thought I would share where we were at. We listened to your feedback and made several changes.

We have set a tentative date for May 10th
We are working with an event space that can accommodate double out last event, so we would not need to turn anyone away!
There will be abundant parking!
We have a professional photographer scheduled and photos will be accessible for free in a Google Drive. Selfie options will also be available.
We will also be providing appetizers and drinks with the cost of tickets.
We are working to secure a DJ
We are working with a new and improved ticketing platform, and a different security system.
We have insurance ready to go, once we iron our our location contract.
We may be looking for a few more volunteers to help chaperone.
