This week we had two young aviation enthusiasts step into the Sim, and their excitement was off the charts!

The Sim is the perfect way to get comfortable with cockpit layouts and procedures before you’re in the real thing—so when you do climb into that first aircraft, you’ll already know exactly what you’re looking at.

They learned the ins and outs of the cockpit, plus got hands-on with some fun training activities (including the barrel rolls). Their parents practically had to pry them out of the Sim.

This Friday, the had an amazing time trying out the DCX MAX (set up as a Cessna 208) and the FLYIT helicopter sim (configured as a Robinson 44). We enjoyed a perfect sunny day filled with pizza, pickleball, and co****le, creating a great vibe for conversations and learning from one another. It’s the ideal space to sit down with your CFI, tackle some ground school, and then put that knowledge to the test in the simulator—without the cost or risk of new maneuvers in the air.
