On 2-4-11 at 11:00 hours Alaska time, APD assisted the South Dakota US Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force and the Spearfish, South Dakota Police Department in arresting 28 year old, Derrick Torian, for the March, 2000 murder of Genevieve Tetpon. She was 28 years old at the time of her death. Torian was arrested without incident at his place of employment in Spearfish, South Dakota.

APD alcohol violations. While in Rum Runners bar, detectives observed 22 year old Jakub Burda who showed obvious signs of intoxication get served alcohol twice by bartenders within a period of one half hour. 22 year old Melissa Rae Burttschell. Burttchell was cited and released with a court date to appear. Burda was arrested At the jail with an alcohol reading of .201, more than twice the legal limit for DWI
