We wish you a great summer!

As we wrap up another wonderful school year this week, we just want to say thank you to all of the families who joined us this year for our Play to Learn events and cohorts. We’ve loved learning, playing, and growing alongside your kiddos and are so excited to kick off our summer park schedule in June!

Join us at parks around Anchorage for fun-filled mornings and afternoons with different activities at each location including crafts, outdoor exploration, sensory play, movement activities, and more! It’s a great chance for families to connect, play, and enjoy summer together.
We can’t wait to see familiar faces and meet new friends this summer!

Special story time guest from Anchorage Public Library will join us June 10 & 24 with books available for families to check out 📚

It’s time to register for the new school year! Be sure to complete your student(s)’ online registration. As a fun incentive, we’ll be selecting 4 random students for weekly prize drawings! 🎉 Check out the attached flyer for instructions on how to register.

Taku Elementary & Taku PTA are hosting a Jog-A-Thon! 🏃🏽‍♂️ We are so excited to be kicking off spring with a fundraiser that helps the school raise funds for special programs & helps the students stay active.

Fundraising Dates:

Tuesday, April 28th, 2026 - Friday, May 8th, 2026

Our Jog-A-Thon run date will be Tuesday, May 5th

Students will be running during their normal school day. The theme of our Jog-A-Thon is SUPERHEROES! 🦸🏼‍♂️ Come dressed up as your favorite superhero or even throw on a cape to be extra fast. We look forward to seeing all the fun outfits when the day comes!

Online Registration for the 2026–2027 school year is now open, and Kindergarten Pre-Enrollment is underway April 23–May 29 (reopening July 15)! Please see the attached flyers for details and get your student registered early for a great start to the new school year. We can’t wait to welcome back our Taku Cubs and meet our newest kindergarteners!
