Training disciples of Jesus how to know and become like Jesus. This is the human telos. This program is not a one-dimensional school of a weekly lecture.

Throughout a 7-month [2-semester] school the students will go through a discipleship curriculum that is designed to establish biblical foundations in disciples of Jesus. This material will train disciples to have a biblically grounded theology, character, and ministry so that they can live in the power of the Spirit in all of life. Our retreat was 🔥

Such a good group of students with deep hunger to meet the Lord and be formed by Him. He will honor this.

Jesus showed up in power and brought healing, forgiveness and deliverance. He is just getting started. The best is yet to come.

Thank you to all who prayed for our time, and those who came out to serve. We could not have done it without you.

Recovery and Jesus are mutually exclusive. We cannot have one without the other. There is no way of recovering the brokenness of the human person without the sole Person who both created us and can redeem us. Likewise, the result of having Christ and being possessed by Christ is the progressive restoration of the human person into the likeness of God, which we see in Jesus Christ.

If someone says that they want recovery from addiction [pick your vice] but don’t want Jesus, then they will stay ensnared in their vice, or merely exchange one vice for another. Likewise, if someone says they want Jesus but don’t want to give up their addiction, then they don’t truly want Jesus for He is a jealous God.

However, if someone wants sobriety and they love Jesus, then there is great reason to have confident hope and expectation for recovery. He is the One who can and does put us back together again. Our task in the matter is to seek to find in Him whatever we have been looking for in our vice. And He won’t let us down, for He is more than sufficient.

Simply put, the human telos (purpose) is Jesus. He is that which we were made for. Not necessarily what Jesus can do for us, or what we can do for Jesus, but simply Jesus — He is, in Himself, the purpose, end and goal of all creation.

Col. 1:15ff “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for all things in heaven and on earth were created by Him, through Him and for Him — all things, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers.”
