If you are an African American student who has received a scholarship for the upcoming school year please contact me. If you received a sports scholarship or academic scholarship from a college/university, it must be the school that you will attend 2024/2025 school year. I very much would like to know if you received any local scholarships from organizations, churches, or businesses. Would love to celebrate your successes and achievements at the 2024 African American Scholarship Awards, June 1, 2024.

This was so cool! A beautiful new set of prints are now on the walls at the new indoor, inclusive playground at the Fairview Rec Center. Done by the very talented Vonnie D. Gaither and featuring Cal Williams, Judge Larry Card and Jewel L Jones, among other important Alaskans who contributed greatly to our community, they are so great! Other Alaskans featured are Ahsley Dickerson, John Parks, Blanche McSmith, Elgin Jones, Vincent Casey, Zula Swanson, Mother Lawrence, and John Thomas. The indoor playground is open 12-6 Mon-Fri and 1-4 Sat-Sun. Check them out!
