Being a tiny clinic isn’t something we’re trying to hide.

It’s kind of the point.

Brightly is a small, family-run Washington telehealth practice—and we have zero interest in making your healthcare feel like you’re customer #84729 in someone’s support queue.

We run lean. We keep our pricing transparent (like, published-on-our-scheduling-page transparent). And when you become my patient, you work directly with me.

That means I’m the one reading your check-ins, answering your clinical questions, discussing your progress, adjusting your care plan when appropriate, and occasionally asking about your protein intake and strength training schedule for the 47th time. 😏

It also means I may tell you that more medication isn’t the answer.

And ultimately? I actually want you to need me LESS over time.

The goal is to help you build the habits, knowledge, strength, and long-term plan to maintain your progress—not keep you dependent on a program forever.

We talk about strength training, nutrition, sleep, recovery, hydration, body composition, plateaus, side effects, and what your health looks like beyond the number on the scale.

And yes, occasionally a pocket-sized Australian Shepherd wanders into the Zoom frame.

That’s the kind of healthcare practice we wanted to build.

Small clinic. Direct access. Personalized care. Maybe telehealth should feel personal again.

I’m out of the office for much of August, which means there are currently only 6 days left on my August calendar for new-patient consultations before we move into September.

Your initial consultation is free and there’s no obligation to become a patient.

💬 DM us “START TODAY” and we’ll help you get an August consultation booked while there are still dates available.

Losing weight and losing fat are NOT the same thing.

When the scale drops, you may be losing fat, lean tissue, water—or some combination of all three.

That’s why I don’t want my patients obsessing over one number. We’re paying attention to strength, measurements, photos, protein intake, training, and other clues that tell us much more about what’s happening to their body.

Because getting lighter isn’t the only goal.

Getting leaner while protecting your muscle is. 💪

And if you’re wondering: “Okay…but how do I actually know whether I’m losing fat or muscle?”

That’s exactly why we created our free:

AM I LOSING FAT OR MUSCLE?
The GLP-1 Muscle Preservation Guide

💬 Comment “TONED” and I’ll send it to you.

You don’t need to be a Brightly patient. Whether you’re using a GLP-1 through another provider or losing weight without medication, we’re happy to share it.

Want to lose fat—not muscle? 💪

SAVE this post if you want to become leaner and stronger at the same time. This is the EXACT framework we teach our patients.

Unfortunately, the things you’re doing to lose weight might be costing you muscle.

Most people think the goal is to lose weight.

It isn’t.

The goal is to lose FAT while preserving the MUSCLE that keeps you strong, healthy, and toned.

STEP 1️⃣: Stop obsessing over the scale.

The scale can’t tell you whether you’ve lost fat, muscle, or water. Instead, track your strength, measurements, photos, energy, and how your clothes fit.

STEP 2️⃣: Put strength training on your calendar.

Aim for two to four sessions each week, focus on the major muscle groups, and challenge yourself consistently over time.

Cardio is important, but if improving body composition is your goal, strength training deserves a starring role.

STEP 3️⃣: Plan tomorrow’s protein today.

Start every meal with protein, and don’t wait until you’re hungry to decide what you’re going to eat.

When appetite decreases, especially during GLP-1 treatment, protein intake often decreases right along with it.

Without enough protein and resistance training, rapid weight loss can lead to muscle loss.

Unfortunately, we’ve spoken with many people who were handed a prescription and left to figure everything else out on their own.

We believe people deserve better than that.

At Brightly, we coach patients on nutrition, strength training, sleep, recovery, hydration, stress management, and long-term success.

Because a prescription is only one piece of the puzzle. 💪

Comment STRONG, and we’ll send you the muscle-preservation checklist we share with our patients. Whether you’re one of our patients or not, we’re happy to share it.

Everybody wants the results. Very few people want the process.

Train hard. Eat well. Sleep more. Recover intelligently.

Then optimize.

At Brightly, we believe peptides should build on top of a strong foundation—not replace one. That’s why we start with the fundamentals: sleep, nutrition, strength training, mobility, stress management, and consistency.

Lately, more of our patients have been asking about BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295, ipamorelin, MOTS-c, GHK-Cu, tesamorelin, and the so-called Wolverine and GLOW stacks. These compounds have generated tremendous interest among everyday athletes, runners, CrossFit athletes, bodybuilders, and active adults looking to support recovery, body composition, and performance.

Like any tool, they work best when they’re built on top of a solid foundation—not when they’re used instead of one.

At Brightly, we help patients cut through the noise, understand what the science actually says, source medication from licensed pharmacies, and build personalized protocols based on their goals, training, recovery, and health history.

Because your protocol shouldn’t come from an influencer.

It should come from a clinician who knows you, your health metrics, your lab work, and your goals.

Comment “OPTIMIZE” if you’d like the list of what we recommend once the foundation is dialed in.

Still hungry after meals? It might not be what you’re eating… it might be the order you’re eating it in.

One of the simplest strategies I teach my patients is to eat the protein and fiber on your plate first, then save the carbs for last.

Why?

🥩 Protein and fiber are the two nutrients that do the most to help you feel full. Eating them first often helps you naturally eat less overall—without feeling like you’re forcing yourself to.

📈 Starting with protein and fiber may also help reduce the blood sugar spike after a meal compared with eating refined carbohydrates first, helping support steadier energy levels and reducing those “I’m starving!” moments between meals.

Whether you’re trying to lose fat naturally or with the help of a GLP-1 medication like semaglutide or tirzepatide, this is one of the simplest habits you can build into almost every meal.

Starting with protein and fiber can help you:

🥩 Hit your daily protein goals before you’re too full to finish them. (One of the biggest challenges I see in patients taking GLP-1 medications.)

🥦 Get more fiber in early, which supports healthy digestion and regular bowel movements. (If you’re on a GLP-1… IYKYK. 😉)

🍎 Reduce the urge to raid the pantry later. When you build your meal around protein and fiber first, you’re much less likely to find yourself reaching for your kids’ Fruit Roll-Ups, gummy snacks, or crackers because you’re suddenly hangry. (Spoiler alert: those snacks won’t keep you full for long. 😅)

🍽️ The best part? You don’t have to eliminate bread, rice, potatoes, or pasta. Just save them for last. Most people naturally eat a little less of them because they’re already starting to feel satisfied—not because they’re forcing themselves to.

Small habits like this add up over time. That’s how sustainable weight loss happens.

💬 If you’d like to learn the simple, evidence-based strategies we teach our patients to lose fat while preserving muscle, strength, and long-term health, comment “Toned” below and we’ll send you a DM with details on how our program works. 💪

Most weight loss advice begins and ends with “eat less and move more.”

Ours doesn’t. ❌

We spend just as much time talking about preserving muscle, preventing plateaus, improving recovery, and building habits that actually last. 💪

That’s why some of our “rules” might surprise you.

At Brightly, we aren’t trying to help people lose weight as quickly as possible.

We’re helping people lose fat while preserving muscle, building strength, improving their health, and creating habits they can maintain for years—not just weeks.

That’s why you’ll hear us talk about eating protein before carbs, lifting weights before adding more cardio, prioritizing sleep, checking in before a plateau happens, and using the scale as just one measure of progress.

GLP-1 medications can be an incredible tool—but they work best when they’re part of a bigger plan, not the entire plan.

Which rule surprised you the most? 👇

💬 If you want to see what it’s like to work with me and learn how we help patients beat plateaus while building long-term strength and muscle tone alongside their weight loss, comment “Toned” and we’ll send you a DM with details on how our program works. 💪

The life you want isn’t built overnight.

It’s built one decision at a time.

One workout.
One healthy meal.
One promise kept to yourself.

Being our most disciplined, best self is a daily commitment.

Here’s to becoming your best self—one day at a time.

See you tomorrow morning. ☀️
