Long before the Military Women’s Memorial opened its doors in 1997, the Daughters of the American Revolution believed in our mission and helped make our vision a reality. Today marks NSDAR’s 136th anniversary—and, more importantly, our organization’s annual Day of Service. It’s a time to reflect on how individuals and chapters, the State and National organizations serve our communities throughout the year, and to continue that commitment. These photos highlight just some of what we’ve done in the past month. Today, I’ll be writing more cards to active-duty military. How will you serve?

Constitution week and Collaboration are the themes of CJC's first meeting of the 'chapter year.' We kicked off the day attending the C.A.R/SAR monument marking of Reuben Cummings, a 15 year old boy and Merrimack's only casualty in the war. Then headed over to the Gen'l John Stark house for a quick business meeting and fun and fellowship with Molly Stark chapter members. Thank you, ladies for the warm welcome! Constitution goody bags are ready to be distributed to schools and we got to wear "the shirts!" Shout out to Judith for another great "know your constitution" presentation.

Another Celebration success! CJC members were honored to participate in Lyndeborough's American Revolutionary War Monument dedication on Saturday, August 15. Our Chaplain gave the opening prayer, our Regent paid tribute. We were grateful for the opportunity to make a financial donation and provide and place the wreath. A big thank you to the Town of Lyndeborough committee and residents who made the installation of the new monument a reality and planned such a wonderful and welcoming event.
