🧐There's a small but real difference between "Oh, the block tower fell" and "You built the blocks too high, so your tower fell over."
💙The first one reflects back what's happening. The second one hands over the answer.
💙When you are invited into a child's play, observing and speaking those observations out loud create connection and show the child you are present.
💙When you tell a child what's wrong, why something happened, or try to solve the problem... you are interrupting and even possibly shutting down their play.
📣Narration keeps the discovery theirs. Direction quietly takes the discovery away.
