Excited for this weekend in Ames, IA! I'll be offering a couple classes at Reiman Gardens on Saturday, June 6, from 10am-12pm and 1-3pm where we will be creating terracotta planters on the wheel. There are a few spots left in each class. Head to Reiman Gardens' website to learn more!

On Sunday, June 7, I'll be at the Lucky Star Market at Fareway from 11am-4pm providing demonstrations on the potter's wheel, displaying some of my finished work and allowing individuals to experience it for themselves. Hope to see you there!

Wrapped up my first month-long wheel throwing class in my space at the Creative Artists' Studios of Ames (CASA) — had so much fun with this group! In four sessions, we covered techniques on wheel throwing, trimming, glazing, kiln loading and managing materials. I’ll do more adult month-long classes this fall beginning in September and sign-ups for those will be added to my website soon. Have a great summer everyone!

I recently dropped off the finished pieces from the Story County ISU Extension and Outreach’s clay workshop and they turned out great! We made tile sculptures and animal planters — this group of students did an awesome job. Thanks again to all who took the workshop!

Excited to be a part of the Ankeny Art Center Arts Festival this Saturday, May 16th from 10am-4pm in Historic Uptown Ankeny! I'll provide pottery demonstrations, a chance for individuals to try it out for themselves and bring some of my finished work. Hope to see you there!

This past weekend I joined Reiman Gardens for their Spring Enchantment Festival to give some pottery demonstrations and allow others to try it out themselves — it was a great time!

This Saturday, April 11, I will be at S & B Farms Distillery in Bancroft, IA, offering two clay workshops, one wheel throwing class from 3-5pm and one hand-building class from 6-8pm. The class on pottery wheels will create cups, bowls or plates and the hand-building class will focus on creating serving boards or platters from slabs of clay. Last Sunday I paired up with ISU Extension and Outreach for a hand-building clay workshop creating animal planters and tile scenes to 4-H students in Story County — can’t wait to see them finished after glazing and firing in the kiln. This group did a great job!
