Join Linda for this four-day experiential workshop, where she brings together key concepts from The Power of the Herd and The Five Roles of a Master Herder to explore socially intelligent leadership, personal power, and group dynamics. Working directly with Eponaquest’s experienced teaching horses, participants will practice the five roles of Leader, Dominant, Sentinel, Nurturer/Companion, and Predator, learning how to recognize and consciously balance different forms of power and social influence.

Evocative poem.

The Horse Who Walks Between Worlds

Where the evening wind crosses the open plains,
and the last light turns the earth to bronze,
a dark horse stands beneath the silent sky,
listening for voices beyond the horizon.

His mane moves like smoke through the twilight,
carrying circles of shadow and flame;
each curve holds a forgotten journey,
each breath remembers an ancient name.

The flowers at his feet remain open
long after the sun has disappeared,
as if they know the path of spirits
and bloom whenever the unseen draws near.

Far beyond the hills, a drumbeat rises—
slow, deep, and older than rain.
It travels through stone, root, and river,
then settles inside the horse’s frame.

He lifts his head toward the night wind,
and a whisper moves through the dark:

“Run not only with your body.
Let your spirit follow the stars.”

So he walks where no trail can be seen,
between the waking world and dream,
past silver moons and quiet mountains,
beside a hidden, sacred stream.

The ancestors do not appear before him;
they are the wind against his side,
the distant thunder beneath the earth,
the unseen presence at his stride.

And when the first light touches the prairie,
the horse returns from the mystery alone—
yet something ancient shines within him,
like fire carried silently home.

For the night has taught him one truth
that neither time nor distance can sever:

“A free spirit may leave no footprints,
but its journey remains with the earth forever.”
