✨ Meet Josh & Abby McCann ✨
Josh and Abby have been faithfully serving as Youth Ministers since July 2022 — and more recently stepped into the role of Interim Worship Ministers here at FBC Lillian. 💒
Their story began in August 2018, shortly after Josh returned from a year-long mission with Mission Links Wales. After just twenty days of dating, they both knew God had answered their prayers for clarity about their future spouse. ❤️ They were married in January 2020 — right before the world shut down!
During their engagement, Josh and Abby served together in youth ministry and discovered a shared passion for investing in students. Though they stepped away from that ministry in 2020, they spent their early years of marriage trusting God’s timing for what was next.
In 2022, God opened several new doors: Abby was accepted into nursing school, Josh transferred to Mercedes-Benz in Grapevine, and together they joined our FBC Lillian family. 🙌
Since then, they’ve continued to serve faithfully — in our church, their workplaces, and their community. Abby now works as a Cardiovascular ICU RN, and Josh has begun pursuing his undergraduate degree, with future his future goal in mind of getting into Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In their free time, they love spending time with family and friends, hiking, making music, reading, and writing. 🎶📖🌿
And this January 2026, they’ll be welcoming their first child — a beautiful new chapter in the story God is writing for their family. 💕
