It is with much regret that we announce that we have lost not one but two of our fellow classmates. Please keep their families in your thoughts and prayers. These ladies were certainly way too young to leave us this soon.

Cheri M. Dick, 56, Bellwood, died unexpectedly on Thursday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Fay H. “Butch” and Ruth L. “Honey” (Merritts) Pfahler.
She married Robert W. Dick Jr. on Aug. 12, 2002.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Tess Keller of Altoona; three siblings: Sandy Conley, Joseph Pfahler and Lori Pruznak, all of Altoona; four grandchildren: Alana, Brantley, Paul and Audree; and a half-sister, Patty Decker, of Bellwood.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: Kathy Montuoro, Helen Berkheimer and Gary Pfahler; and a half-brother, David Pfahler.
Cheri was a 1987 graduate of Altoona Area High School.
She enjoyed doing word-search puzzles and spending time with her family at cookouts and on holidays.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Amy L. Schraff, 54, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024.
She was born in Altoona, the daughter of William Taylor, Sr. and the late Virginia Himes.
Amy is survived by her boyfriend, Ronald R. Fink, Jr.; her father, William Taylor, Sr.; a son, Brian Hostler, Jr.; her brother, William Taylor, Jr; three sisters: Beth Taylor, Yvonne Ingram (Tim) and Heidi Stouffer.
She was preceded in death by her mother and brother, Frank Taylor.
Amy was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and was recently employed with Integrity Home Care, LLC as a CNA.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or services.
